Via Carta Mural Project

The Cal Poly Corporation is pleased to extend an invitation and request for proposals to provide a mural that presents broad themes which ​​recognizes:

  1. The value and the contributions migrant workers and farmworkers make on the Central Coast;
  2. The agricultural bounty of the Central Coast;
  3. Cal Poly's student contributions to the field of agriculture (such as the Strawberry Center, Cal Poly Crops, viticulture, and curriculum that exemplifies the learn-by-doing ethos).
  4. Encourage student and community interaction.

The goals of this mural project are:

  • To beautify and inspire the outdoor market corridor
  • Add to the growing collection of campus public art
  • Create a mural that is colorful and inspiring for the Cal Poly community and visitors
  • Create a mural that is reflective of the learn-by-doing campus standard

Warren J. Baker Center for Science and Mathematics Mural Project

With support from the College of Science and Mathematics and in collaboration with Cal Poly’s Cultural Faculty Staff Associations, we are pleased to extend an invitation and request for proposals to provide artwork honoring and embracing diversity and inclusivity. An artist (or team of artists) will be selected to create an indoor mural for installation on the second-floor lobby entry wall of the Baker Center.
